With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, I have worked on a range of projects of various sizes in all sectors. From the simplest projects involving drainage/pavement reinstatements to large infrastructure projects for residential, office, industrial, retail parks, transport hubs, business parks, and commercial developments they all require the same skill, tenacity, focus, drive, and teamwork to achieve the desired end goal.
Helping to guide the Client and provide them with the necessary support to see a project through to completion is essential for the modern Engineer. Lending them advice on the engineering, practicalities, procedural, sustainability, and affordability of any design is necessary but should be with a mindset where you are approachable, reliable, and respectful to all. That is what 34 years of being in the civil engineering sector has taught me!
